Winter 2017

One of the things I love most about North Carolina is its four beautiful seasons. Each one provides a distinctive backdrop for my photo shoots – from the blooming dogwoods and azaleas in spring to the changing harvest hues in autumn. Although the shorter days and colder air of winter may seem like an unlikely time for outdoor photography, it’s actually one of my favorite times of year to shoot. The low winter light provides just the right amount of glow on those rosy cheeks.

Whether you want to capture him in that chunky sweater and handmade hat or her in those adorable Ugg boots, let Growphotography help grow your memories all year round.

I know it’s hard to believe, but summer and fall shoots are beginning to book. Please remember that these are my busiest times of year so plan ahead if you can! The 4:00PM weekday slots are reserved for elementary school aged children and family sessions. If you have pre-school aged children or flexible work schedules, please try to book morning sessions.

Here are some favorites from 2016 Holiday sessions, it was a great season!

Spring 2016

Looking back through spring archives gets me excited for this warm weather! Green grass, blue skies and the sun hitting the flowering trees makes for the perfect soft back lighting. You can smell the first roses starting to bloom and the daffodils are abundant.

This is also a great time of year for updating head shots. If your social media “self” is a few years old, schedule a head shot session. After a quick, painless shoot, you’ll come away with several different options for a new updated you! I have been very busy with these in the last few months and I have lots of tricks for making you look your best!

Spring Portraits have become one of my favorite shoots. Who wants those antiquated, staged yearbook pictures framed in their living room? Let your senior spend an hour with me and come away with plenty of frame worthy pics!

Spring Promotion: 20% off any photo shoot scheduled during the months of April and May.

Use Promo Code (Spring16) when booking.

Offer expires June 1st, 2016.

Fall 2015

Fall is here! Looking back on my fall portfolio from last year makes me excited for fall colors, cool crisp air, and my favorite boots! Fall is my favorite time of year for photography. Ordinary greens turn to shockingly vibrant, reds and golds. Jeans and scarves are the perfect attire for lying in a pile of leaves!

It’s hard to believe that this will be my 9th year for fall family portraits! I LOVE seeing the finished product when clients’ holiday cards come in the mail, so please send them!

Fall shoots are filling up fast so grab your spot today! Afternoon shoots are the first to go, so please specify if you have preschoolers or if a morning shoot is an option. Remember, shoots are only offered at the Raleigh Rose Garden, 10:00, 11:00 or 4:30, Monday through Friday only.

Happy Fall, Sara

Growphotography Summer Beach Sessions 2014

To me summer is synonymous with Wrightsville Beach. My most cherished childhood memories were created at the beach. As a photographer, there’s nothing more rewarding than helping other families create those same memories.

I love the serenity of early mornings by the water, the low light of the rising sun and the contrast of the pier’s wood pylons against the crashing waves. It makes for the perfect backdrop to capture children swinging from their parents’ arms and running through the surf hand in hand.

As a reminder, fall sessions are starting to fill up, so contact me soon to schedule your fall session.
